No Signs of Cancer

This morning, after 6 months of chemotherapy I had a PET Scan. The scan showed no signs of cancer. I am now switching from active treatment to monitoring for a reoccurrence.

I’d love to say definitely that I have beat cancer, but that is more a determination after 5 years of monitoring. So for now, I will say I am a cancer survivor. Chemo has taken its toll though and it will take a few months to get back up to speed and strength.

Thanks to all who followed my progress and for all the thoughts, prayers, and support you gave me. It has yet to really sink in, but it is a good feeling none the less.

  1. Wonderful news! Glad to hear it and thanks again for the great job with the MOOC. I didn’t get to spend as much time on it as I had hoped but it was still a great refresher on why I went into librarianship.

  2. I was just wondering last night how your treatments were going! This is wonderful news congratulations! Rest up and get your strength back (although from the talks you given recently I would be very impressed to see you back at full speed – you always seemed to have boundless energy and enthusiasm)

  3. Excellent news! Take the time you need to properly recoup and recharge. The ripple-out of the MOOC will generate loads of possibilities, but you and your health come first!
